Nigh-silently the clouds above the icy regions parted. The only sound was a soft hum as the engines of a spaceship slowly descended into the area known as the Phendrana Shorelines. Small landing gear extended from the silver ship as the lightly falling snow began to cover up the red stripes that decorated it. A soft crunch echoed out, heard by nothing, when the craft touched ground.
A hatch opened with a mechanical noise, allowing Lucius to step out, crunching the snow beneath him. Immediately he stretched and popped his neck. It was good to get out of the ship now and then and have a good stretch . . . and he was in the mood for a winter wonderland. Well, this place was close enough to that for him, at least. Not like it really mattered either way.
He looked around, activating the scanner in his visor as per procedure, gaining much information about his surroundings. There were several creatures in the vicinity; a few flying creatures apparently known as ‘Flickerbats’ were flying above him, several Crystallites were moving around on the wall to the right of him, and his systems relayed to him that two mildly dangerous juvenile Sheegoths were in the area. Instinctually, he scanned over them again just to be sage, and luckily, he was. Apparently they were sleeping. Fine by him; he didn’t want to bother them.
Lucius willed his helmet gone, retracting it into his suit and freeing his raven hair to be blown by a soft, passing wind. He took in a sharp breath, taking in the fresh, frozen air in a sweetly pained breath, and releasing it back in a burst of mist. Good quality air, for sure. He sat himself down, plopping his rear into the snow and his back against the ship just as Senna appeared next to him.
“Wow,” she began, “this place is BEAUTIFUL!”
Lucius nodded in response, smiling softly as Senna’s voice echoed slightly. She was always more energetic than him. But, she had a right to enjoy the scenery.
