((Hello hello, a pleasure to meet you all!))
Name: Odin den første
Age: 39
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Rank: Wanderer
Canon/OC: OC
Face Claim:
Odin was originally conceived as a character for a world my friend was working on. Rough time period of the world would be during the early days of the Roman Empire. Magic is run by imagination and there are five principle schools: Earth, Air, water, Creation. ((Creation being the only one he doesn't have access to)) The stronger your imagination, the more magic powerful magic you can use. Fearing this power, the Roman empire put mages not under their control in Atlantis where their imagination was slowly broken down over time.
Cbox Name:
Other Characters:
Strengths: Odin is a powerful Sorcerer, and shows a distinct affinity towards earth, but his abilities were not given to him at birth. In his world, when powerful magic users die they leave behind a powerful gem called a Soul Stone. This stone imparts upon the holder all of the deceased's knowledge of magic. Odin has Twenty embedded in his body around his heart.
Odin is no slacker when it comes to physical combat, in fact he's more prone to punching things than consciously using his arcane strength.
Weaknesses: He has little control over the magic, and strange phenomena tend to happen when his tenuous grasp of it is thrown aside. Minor localized earthquakes, an explosion of flora, small explosions, etc. He is also mentally unstable. The Stones give him a case schizophrenia, frequent chest pains, and makes it hard for him to sleep or focus, as he hears the voices of the other magi in the snap of fire, the rushing of wind, the gurgle of water.
Weapons And Equipment:
Odin carries a simple bronze sword and his basic clothes on his back, and not much else outside of his backpack and provisions.
Personality: Selfish and driven, Odin will not stop in order to achieve his goal. Easily annoyed, easily angered, he's a violent individual. Cares little for those around him. One of the few things he likes he can't enjoy very often; crowded cities. While in cities his demeanor becomes somewhat approachable, as he can pretend, for a time, that he doesn't have voices in his head.
He has little appreciation for human life, years of fighting for the highest bidder will do that to you, but one way to gain his trust is to feed him. A single favor for a single meal is his stance on that matter.
In short, unless you can find someway for him to trust you, he's likely just going to ignore you.
He loathes anything having to do with the Romans, but their coin is good and their weapons better.
A good way to get him to hate you is to attack him. Pretty soon you'll have a sword in your stomach and your entrails spilled on the ground.
He doesn't know quite where he stands with magic, one the one hand he's damn powerful and has a good intuitive grasp of Earth magic which has saved him on many occasions when he broke free of Atlantis. On the other hand, however, he knows the voices in his head will drive him completely insane before he dies of old age.
History: Odin was once a normal man, a mercenary, a little temperamental, till he fell in love with a wandering woman by the name of Morgana Le Fey. Used by her to kidnap people to experiment on, till she turned her attentions upon him. The pain was unbearable, thought was scrambled and lost for he didn't know how long. When his mind began to reorder itself his first sight was Morgana, as she left him chained deep in the cells of Atlantis. When he broke free he swore revenge to follow her, even if he had to break the land in two and raze the remains.
Sample Post:
The man sat in the dark of the forest, cold, tired and hungry, but at least without the fire there were fewer voices.
the magic weaves around thematrix affects the flow ofIt waits at the edge.
Just the wind tonight, and with the low whisper at least they weren't too distracting. Though, he almost half wished they could be a little louder if only to distract him from his empty stomach. The Forest was silent, and he wasn't all that surprised by it, animals had a tendency to leave the area around him. Probably had the right idea, but roast rabbit wouldn't be missed about now. Almost without thought a small fire sprung up. Cursing, he brought a foot up to stomp it out and-
See how itRun it through your fingers anddances across the field
The voices dwindled and the fire died "Damn," he muttered before going back to a nearby tree and lying down under it "maybe I'll get something to eat in my dreams."
