Xano Forr

Age: Ageless, appears late 20s.
Gender: Genderless, but presents male.
Sexuality: Omnisexual
Rank:Wanderer (Chaotic)
Canon/OC: Original.
Other Characters: Jaspar
Powers And Abilities
Strengths:
Twist of fate: As the embodiment of luck, he has the ability to manipulate chance to his will (within reason).
Nimble little sod: Xano has enhanced speed and agility given his Guardian status. Being light on his feet means he can travel great distances through perilous terrain with ease to go about his work for the Great God of Abraxas.
Why won’t you DIE ALREADY???: It takes a lot to bring this punk down to size. As one of the original fallen Shards from the Realm of Nightmare, Xano is not quite mortal and his tenacity reflects that.
Hold on a second, I’ve got this: He is incredibly intuitive and can think quickly on his feet, which is the main reason he became the main Messenger for the Great God.
When the going gets tough: If given a specific task or goal, he’ll get it down quickly, efficiently, and more often that not; ruthlessly.
Now you see it: A huge fan of illusions, Xano can create minor distortions in people’s perception of the world around them. The weaker willed the target, the stronger the illusion.
Mind over Matter: Chaos can also bend reality and warp the world around him to a minor extent. A favourite of his is to split open rock or ice and hide in its shadows. While this power cannot be used on living objects, or anything on a large scale (for instance, he can’t move mountains, no matter how hard he tries), it’s a force to be reckoned with.
Weaknesses:
Five more minutes: Unless given explicit instructions or orders, Xano would much rather spend his time doing his own thing and is, in fact, actually quite lazy and would rather go for the easy life.
Joker in the pack: A prankster more than anything else, he lives up to his name of chaos and gets his kicks from stirring things up and causing trouble, no matter how much havoc it might cause. In fact, the more the better.
Oh god why would you do that?: Empathy is not a strong suit of his and is easily capable of being heartless and sometimes downright cruel.
Could do with a parasol: Sensitive to bright lights makes work a bit difficult, and tends to be more of a night owl. This comes from his reluctance to fall from the Realm of Nightmare and avoids going out during the day whenever possible, opting to rest inside the Temple of the Great God instead.
Neat makes me nervous: While Xano revels in entropic circumstances and makes him stronger, the opposite is true due to being cursed by Order. This doesn’t mean spreadsheets gives him a migraine or anything, but rather any object touched by Order’s hand becomes far more dangerous than any other weapon.
Burn baby bur- okay maybe not: He’s not a fan of fire and will actively avoid it.
Generally a douchenozzle: He’s generally a douchenozzle.
Weapons And Equipment:
A small folding blade able to cut any thread.
A pair of traditional abraxan chance stones.
A tiny shard of permanently frozen ice inside a spidersilk pouch.
Personal Information
Personality:
It is remarkably difficult to pinpoint Xano’s personality as it differs from job to job, depending on who he’s around; it is easier to manipulate others that way. When around the Great God he is a stoic, loyal individual with a solemn sense of duty and a serious demeanour. When around the Eight Beings of Power, he is cheeky and arrogant and unable to take anything seriously, more focused on play, and when around the Living Statue, he is calm and serene with gentle words and actions. Nobody has yet become close enough to him to know which is his true face; if any of them. Ultimately, though he is a prankster who revels in disarray.
History:
Like many of the First Beings in Abraxan Mythology, he was originally a shard from the Shimmering Flame that fell to the Waking Land. He was a dark and dull shard, that quite by chance, was blessed with life. As Luck, he wandered the planet helping shape the world, before finally settling in the Northern Continent, where he met the Great God for the first time. He saw power in the Beast and pledged servitude to him in hope he would gain some of that power for himself. He spent his days as a Messenger for the Great God, and scoured the land for knowledge to be relayed back to Him. Luck continued his work for years on end, getting to know the Eight Beings of Power that guarded the planet in his spare time.
One day he relayed back to the Great God that the Being of Life, Axas, had continued to neglect her duty in favour of spending time with Order, despite many warnings. He was then given a new duty.
To kill her.
He led Order and Axas into the far North Caves under the pretence of showing them the “heart of the planet”, and stood above them both as they looked through the icy floor at the swirling lights below.
Then the ice split and swallowed Axas, sending her plunging into the freezing water. He sealed the ice after her as the lights wrapped around her ankles and dragged her down, Order desperately striking at the ice with her blades to free her, but the ice was forced with fire and was unbreakable. In her fury as her love, her best friend vanished into the depths, she cursed Luck with a new word, a new name to follow him forever ‘Xano’, meaning Chaos.

”BRING HER BACK BRING HER BACK!” Order sobbed, striking repeatedly at the ice, though Axas was long gone and the tendrils of light faded to darkness; the surface of the frozen lake still perfectly flawless no matter how many times the blades had hit.[/size]
“You were warned,” Luck spoke uncharacteristically softly, though no remorse could be heard in his rich melodic voice.
“You have killed the very reason you exist, you beast!” the warrior rose to her feet, tears staining her dark face, brandishing the ceremonial daggers at her enemy above.
“And the very reason we would have perished!” Luck finally snapped, his bright eyes burning with fire. “You have not seen what I’ve seen!!! The land lays barren beyond your borders!! The soil has turned to dust, the lakes dried up and earth cracking! Hundreds of flowers lay dead and turning to muck in bogs of death because of your selfishness! She forgot her purpose! She is where she should be now- with the planet itself….” His voice became quieter again, breaking eye contact and cafeully lifting his hand to the cut on his cheek from the flying piece of ice when Order had managed to break the surface.
“She is one with the planet, she will bring life back to-“
“You know nothing of life! You weigh your existence on chance yet you fear death! You fear lack of life like it is something abhorrent! It is necessary and because of that fear y-you’ve… you’ve…”
Order let out a scream of anguish.
“You are not luck! You are Chaos! You are vile and cruel and heartless and you do not deserve life! You are CHAOS!”
Luck felt a chill in his heart as her words echoed around the cavern, a twisted black feeling crept up into his gut from his feet and settled in his stomach, laying root and growing quickly. He gagged as Order ran out into the Northern Bowl and continued to sob and cry, his legs growing weak and his eyes unable to focus, their colour and fire fading.
But he could not regret.
Even as Order’s anger grew and drew fire from the sky in torrents of red rain and made the mountains grow into the ground, he could not regret.
He could not regret as he staggered from the ice cave, it’s walls collapsing behind him as he gasped for fresh air; black puss oozing from his mouth. He could not regret as he watched Order’s grief warp the creatures into new terrifying beasts of rock and fire and venom that cantered across the burning landscape.
He could not regret.
But he could feel his heart pang in a confusion not felt before.
