The crystal valley was a beautiful sight, but something that was lost on the hunter that stalked it. He could appreciate that the environment here was a challenge in which to hunt, garbed as he was in browns and blacks, but he couldn't quite fathom the need to see beauty in it.
But it truely was amazing. Gentle flakes of snow fell from the clouded skies, and the water was covered in thick ice. Many beasts prowled the drifts, not all of them vicious, but some of them aggressive and nasty; the perfect target for Predator.
This particular heated fray was atop a sheer cliff. A crystalised waterfall toppled from the peak of the rise, frozen mid-tumble into the solid lake below. The air was crisp, and Predator's breath formed mist as he panted, both sets of steel claws unsheathed on his hands. His back was to the cliff, the creature before him snarling darkly. The animal seemed part crystal itself, and it's gaping maw dripped with a light blue blood, drawn from Predator's attacks. It gave a bellow, which turned out to be it's final sound, as even as it charged at it's attacked, Predator moved like lightning, his frame darting in to sink both sets of claws into the creature's neck. It collapsed and the hunter jumped back, splattered with blue, and it's own green blood.
He shook himself, chittering, adeneline pumping through his veins, his bloodlust mostly saited. The prey was dead, the predator victorious. He examined the creature's head closely, to look for the easiest way to remove his skull before he pause, his powerful hearing picking up something.
Footsteps?
Surely his battle up here would not have gone unnoticed if someone else had been in the drifts, and Predator chattered harshly to itself, heart still pounding from the thrill of the fight. He turned, crouching low, looking for the source and eventually spotted a female humanoid, or so he assumed from her shape and heat signature. With a rather vicious noise, he moved towards her in a mad dash to keep up the excitement coursing through him, unthinking and ultimatley lost in his race's problem with hormones. He had killed, he could smell the stink of blood, his own and the dead beast's and perhaps her's was next...
Predator wasted no time. As soon as the gap was closed, he was lunging towards her, claws aiming straight for her face...
