Powers And Abilities
Strengths:
Your character’s powers, abilities and general strengths go here.
-Primogenitor-
Being the first of his kind, Helix was augmented with advanced medical procedures and cybernetic technology, essentially making him stronger and tougher than the average man. This kind of strength and durability was one of the key factors in his creations, for it allows him to survive in any environment imaginable without the need for specialized equipment (this includes space as well).
-Augmented Healing-
His genetic structure was rebuilt from the ground up, combined with the large number of nanites inhabiting his body, Helix can recover from even the most grievous of wounds in a matter of hours.
-Hardened Scales-
Chemical and genetic treatment have hardened Helix’s scales to the point where they are easily comparable to a masterly forged suit of scale armour.
-Multiple Systems-
Secondary heart, multi-lung, tertiary drive core. Helix has enough secondary and tertiary systems implanted into his body that he could easily sustain what might seem a life threatening injury without loss to his performance. A nice side effect from all these extra implants is the fact that he is simply immune to any kind of poison, toxin and status changing effect imaginable.
-Hardened Core-
Part of Helix’s brain is comprised of cybernetic circuitry that gives him the link necessary between flesh and machine. The nice little side effect produced from such an arrangement is that Helix’s mind cannot be controlled or even read (much to the frustration of many psychics).
-Havoc-
As part of his namesake, he is designated a ‘Havoc’, a heavy weapons operative. Give him any heavy weapon imaginable and he will be able to use it without the need for training or specialised equipment to wield it (he possesses the strength to carry a heavy weapon and the knowledge to back up the carrying capacity).
-Metallurgy-
Naturally, having spent several lifetimes working in the forge, Helix knows everything there is to know about forging metal and metallurgy. Weapons reforged by Helix have been reported to be many times sharper or stronger while armour repaired will be five times stronger than its previous incarnation.
Weaknesses:
Your character’s weaknesses, faults and significant personality flaws go here.
-Multiple Systems-
While benefiting from multiple implants, his augmented systems are a double edged sword for Helix, while protecting him from harmful status change; it also prevents beneficial status change from being induced on Helix.
-Brick Heavy-
Helix has enough metallic composition within his body that he tends to sink like a brick when in water when outside of his armour or lacking any kind of anti-gravity harness.
-Eccentricity-
A cumulative effect, having lived for an untold age, Helix is starting to slight unravel around the edges. He sometimes mutter things to himself that often make no sense to the others that are standing around him and he does find it somewhat difficult to interact with other people, his knowledge is a little to specialized (mostly in the areas of heavy weaponry and metallurgy). This has made him somewhat of a social outcast which in turn, has driven him further down the path of eccentricity.
-Dual Loyalties-
Despite surrounding himself with machines, Helix also suffers from a slight wanderlust, leading to a second namesake, Helix the Traveller. While beneficial at times, it also means that quite often, he is alone, by himself, which only helps to drive him further into eccentricity.
-Teleportation-
If there is one thing Helix hates most of all, its teleporting himself to another location. He absolutely refuses to teleport himself to the point where he would rather die from whatever event they were trying to escape than teleport himself to safety.
-Machine Over Magic-
Simply put, Helix prefers the tried and tested forms of technology over the more arcane magic’s of the world. When it comes to magic, he is simply a dunce, unable to perform even the most basic of magical spells (not that it bothers him in the slightest, he prefers a solid forged iron sword over magic any day of the week).
-Battle Discipline-
While Helix is able to hold his own in a fight, by no means this makes him a trained and skilled fighter. Most of his combat experience comes from multiple combats against fighting against an army with allies surrounding him. While it is true that he could fell a mountain with the pure raw strength of his blows, he lacks the certain degree of skill and finesse to back up this raw strength. If he were to face a single opponent in a fight, he could hold his own in the fight, but would lack the certain skill needed to being able to deliver the final fatal blow to his enemy.
Weapons And Equipment:
Any weapons or important equipment that your character can usually be found carrying goes here along with a brief description.[/size]
-Journeyman’s Armour-
Light, flexible armour made from the lightest of metals known to man. Perfect for one who travels the land.
-Servo Arms-
Four heavy mechanical arms capable of lifting heavy armour plates and crushing the bones of anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in their mechanical grasp.
-Relic Axe-
A weapon steeped in legend and folklore. Once a simple battle axe, time and Helix’s continual attentions have honed this once humble weapon into something fit for a god of mythology to wield. Its edge has been honed to a sharpness unseen in any other weapons and the rumours surrounding this weapon make it sound like it was a gift from the gods themselves. In any case, this two handed weapon is Helix’s most prized possession.
-Throwing Axes-
Each axe has been hand forged from meteoric iron, giving it a strength unseen in other iron type weapons. The perfect weapon for Helix to use when faced with an enemy who refuses to engage in hand to hand combat.
-Machete-
A humble machete forged from steel. Its edge is sharp enough to hack through plant growth (or the occasional neck of an enemy) that might bar the progress of Helix.
-Tome of Iron-
Representing the cumulative life’s work of Helix, the Tome of Iron contains all his knowledge and experience into the physical and metaphysical properties of different types of metal.
-Log of the Traveler-
This journal contains the multiple travels that Helix has undertaken, some with purpose, some to explore, others just to wander the lands he encounters. Also contained in its pages are practical first hand experiences on survival techniques in the lands he has encountered.
-Pouches-
Helix wears on his belt, multiple pouches into which he stores many of his smaller items that he continually uses. Mostly, his belt holds his throwing axes and tools he uses to maintain his weapons and even create new weapons from the raw resources surrounding him.
-Travelling Kit-
A small pack containing enough essentials for one to survive in the wilderness for a couple of weeks, far away from any kind or form of civilisation.
-The Copper Rose-
A single rose forged from copper and polished to mirror sheen. Usually, its either kept in a pouch on Helix’s belt or worked into his braided hair.
-Flight of Ghosts-
Possibly the most advanced ship known to the galaxy. Essentially a mobile forge with enough firepower to be able to defend itself from a small attacking fleet. Contains many relics deep in the stasis vaults deep within the core structure. While armed with multiple rail cannon, point defense weapons and central orbital bombardment cannon, the combination of ancient relics, forgotten technologies and the actual refinery plant contained deep within the beating heart of Flight of Ghosts, Helix is quite unwilling to risk exposing his personal transport in open warfare for fear of destruction of his transport, or worse, the capturing of his flagship and with it, the possibility that the foundry might be used to churn out an unlimited supply of war droids or the seizure of ancient relics contained within the stasis vaults. The only time one might even catch a glimpse of the Flight of Ghosts is during one of its rare supply runs, when the broadsides of the ship are illuminated for a fraction of time as they fire their payload of drop pods containing invaluable supplies Helix needs for surviving in the wilderness without support.
Personal Information
Personality:
An outline of your character's personality goes here. It doesn't have to be lengthy, but it should be detailed enough to give someone an understanding of who the character is.
Despite being somewhat old in age, Helix is still somewhat unpredictable, moody and somewhat eccentric in nature. He could easily cross the emotional spectrum should he be provoked in less time than it takes to open a can of beans, making him somewhat of an oddball to deal with at times. While he does possess a somewhat superior knowledge of metallurgy thanks to his lifetime of working in the forge, his other social skills have somewhat suffered, making it hard for him sometimes to socialise with others. This leaves him somewhat of a social outcast, which, in turn, has only further led him down a path of eccentricity, preferring his own company or the company of his most trusted allies over the company of his colleges and fellow workers. When he does speak on something, he might make sense or he might just be talking rubbish, only adding frustration and confusion to a somewhat already awkward being. Even with all this working against him, he will make some attempt to socialise with other beings (after all, at some point in his travels, he will need to interact with storekeepers to restore his depleted supplies).
History:
An outline of your character's history goes here. Again, it doesn't have to be lengthy, but it should cover all of the important events that have influenced your character.
Helix wasn’t always like this, he was once human long time ago, an old feeble man searching for a way to extend his life and perhaps, return to the forge where he loved to be. An experimental procedure gave him the chance to return to his life at the forge, though the cost to his humanity was far greater than anyone could comprehend. To him, it was a price worth paying. For decades, he endured the multiple procedures inflicted on him, slowly changing him into the being he is today. At the time, he was the pinnacle of science, yet, for all their achievements in cybernetics, bio-manipulation and gene therapy, he was a failed experiment. A failed attempt at creating a super soldier for some unknown foreign power. Ridiculed for his nature, they tried to exterminate him, wipe him off the face of the galaxy, yet Helix refused to submit. He reasoned that even as a failed experiment, he still had a right to continue to exist in the galaxy. Despite his strength of mind and body, the seeds of doubt had been sown in his mind.
Official history would state that their purge of their failed experiment had been successful, in truth though, he simply slipped off the face of the earth, keeping a low profile, and he learned a few tricks that helped him survive the initial years on his own without any kind of resource available to him. He returned to his life at the forge, though this would be temporary at times, only remaining in one place for a few days before disappearing off into the nearby wilderness. Eventually, even those who created him finally forgot about their failed experiment.
Chance decided to play a cruel twist of fate to Helix. A long story short, Helix was forced into a temporal loop and eventually ejected into the year of 800BC. What might have driven one insane from the change in environment, Helix took it in his strike, realizing that this could be the perfect chance to prevent the program to develop a weapon of war. Even so, he made sure to keep a careful account of his actions during these ages, manipulating events as they should have occurred in history, ensuring that events would proceed down a slightly different path to the one he once lived in.

The sound of steel striking steel echoed through the cavernous chamber deep in the heart of Flight of Ghosts. Helix stood at the anvil, clad in nothing more than a shirt and pants, his ancient suit of power armour hung on its rack in a nearby alcove as Helix worked the steel in front of him. It was his means of relaxing, focusing the mind, honing his thoughts, keeping a grip on reality.
“Forge the iron, smith the steel.” He paid no attention the flying sparks that burned his scales, his body had long since become accustomed to the feeling of steel burning his exterior. All around him the sounds of his mechanical retinues chattered away in their binary tone, enacting Helix’s will as he forged the steel in front of him.
“Forge the iron, smith the steel. Remember where once you came from.” His hammer froze in mid air, bringing a halt to the contestant ringing of steel on steel. Something had caught his attention. A data burst upload from the primary communications array.
“Invited to join in games? Request denied. A forger of iron and a master of machinery. Not one to engage in the games of rich nobles.”
Little did he know what he was really getting himself into.
