This place seemed pretty nice, he decided, looking around the tavern. A kind of relaxed feel, no pressure to do anything. People milled about, sat at tables and dranks, ate by the cooking fire. It was a nice tavern. And Twisted Fate had a love of nice places. It meant the people were nice. Which meant they were also stupid. Then again, he wasn't entirely sure what he'd find here, and with the current state of the worlds being ripped a part, he was fairly certain any kind of person might walk in at any moment.
He'd won himself a drink with a simple card trick but now he was idly sitting at the bar, half a dozen cards in his hand and gently chipping at the bar's surface. His chin rested in his hand as he eyed the people in the tavern, trying to decide which would be an easy hit. The people here dealt in gold too, not just some local currency but actual chips of gold. It was quite nice to find something familiar like that.
After a moment, he shifted in the gloom and took a mouthful of his drink; some strong alcoholic thing local to the tavern. It was getting dark outside, evening truely was drawing in, and he assumed that once the sun was down, the people would flock to the tavern, their work done for the day. That would be most pleasant... That would provide him with someone to swindle.
Of course, he did actually like this tavern so he didn't plan on cheating too badly, not just yet. Just enough to win, just enough to stay here a few more days. Unless someone with quite a bit to lose presented themselves to the thief.
He scratched at his neat beard after a moment before settling back down to his drink, eyeing the door and just waiting.
