Powers And Abilities
Strengths:
Diana’s strengths lie within her golden belt, bracelets, lasso of truth, and tiara. She can stop a bullet cold, and any other item hurled at her. She is able to run 60-70 miles per hour, lift and throw heavy objects, break a steal door, etc. With her lasso she can tie people up, and force them to tell the truth. While not invulnerable, she is capable of withstanding great concussive force such as being knocked through a building. She can also speak known languages, and has been able to decipher an alien writing. Diana prefers to fight with knowledge, peace, and love than brute force, but will if it becomes absolutely necessary. She's also quite agile.
Weaknesses:
Without her weapons Diana is just a regular Human. She has a soft spot for children, and for Steve Trevor. She’ll take off her belt and other weapons if it means saving a life. So, her heart and compassion for man kind are her biggest weaknesses.
Also her weapons can be used on/against her if someone gets hold of them. Chloroform and poison gas can knock her out temporally; even with her belt. Also, as Diana Prince she has no powers; only as Wonder Woman.
Weapons And Equipment:
Her golden belt which gives her super Human strength, and lighting fast reflexes, speed, and agility, and the ability to jump about as high as Superman. Her bracelets which can deflect bullets and other objects hurled at her. The golden lasso of truth, which can not break, and when tied in it you must tell the truth. You have no choice. Then there’s her tiara which can turn into a boomerang, and is also used to call her mother back home at Paradise Island. Last but not least; her invisible plane is how she flies.
Personal Information
Personality:
Diana is a gracious humble woman – both as Diana and Wonder Woman- as well as gentle and kind. The only real time she can ever be considered tough and powerful is as Wonder Woman. It is very difficult to fool her. Although as Diana Prince she lets on otherwise and can come across as a tad naïve, to where Wonder Woman is complete opposite. She has a no kill policy; exception of clones.
She loves all creatures/creations. There’s beauty in everything. She prefers to fight using her mind and out smarting her opponents, but unfortunately it doesn’t always work out that way. Wonder Woman can hold her own in a fight, and will. She doesn’t back down unless she knows she has to.
She’s a very independent woman, but not overbearing, not rude, not huffy, not pushy, not bossy, and not easily angered. Both Diana Prince and Wonder Woman are very patient, and have compassion for others. Both put others needs, and feelings before their own.
History:
Diana was formed from clay by the Queen of the Amazons and was imbued with the attributes of the Greek and Roman gods by Athena — "beautiful as Aphrodite, wise as Athena, swifter than Hermes, and stronger than Hercules." Wonder Woman's Amazon training also gave her limited telepathy (more so with animals than people), profound scientific knowledge, and the ability to speak every language known to man. She also has empathy for every living creature.
Diana and the other Amazons were always taught that mans world (outside of Paradise Island) was an evil, wicked place that always used violence; which is against the Amazon way. The Amazons believe in peace and love. It was difficult for Diana to believe all men were like that. It was forbidden for the Amazons to leave Paradise Island, which none actually wanted to leave the seclusion of their world. For fun the Amazons competed in Olympic games of the Greeks and Romans.
They also mined the materials that created their bracelets. Although on the island they don’t wear any protective attire. Just simply sheer dresses, and no shoes.
One day During World War II, American pilot Major Steve Trevor bails out during an air battle over the Bermuda Triangle, location of Paradise Island. The island is home to the Amazons: beautiful, ageless women with great strength, agility, and intelligence. Diana finds and rescues Steve, and is intrigued by him as are the other ‘young’ Amazons. It is their very first time seeing a man! The Amazons heal Trevor of his wounds and wipe his memory of ever landing on Paradise Island.
Her mother, the Amazon queen, decrees that Olympic-style games shall be held to select one Amazon to return Trevor back to America, but she forbids her daughter Diana, the princess, to participate. Diana states that since she is not allowed to participate, she does not want to be present for the games and will take a retreat to the other side of the island. Diana wore a wig and participated, and won. Her mother decided to let her go to America.
Once in America Diana takes Steve to a hospital, then walks out, and stumbles upon a bank robbery, which she stops. A talent agent sees her, and recruits her in his show. Diana only agreed because in mans world money is required. They have no need for money on Paradise Island. After Diana goes her own way and takes on the identity of a Navy enlisted First Class Petty Officer Yeoman. Which she ends up becoming Steve Trevor’s new secretary.
Sample Post
A sample post using your character. “Stay here Yeoman Prince. I want you standing by in-case there’s trouble.” Instructed Major Steve Trevor as he put on his cap and left the office. “Yes Sir.” Diana replied respectfully with her sweet natured voice. However, the minute Steve left Diana went and looked out the door, then out the window. No one was looking. She took off her glasses and began to spin extremely fast, turning into Wonder Woman. Now in her red, white, and blue costume Wonder Woman jumped out the open window and landed on the ground.
She dashed down the dark alley running swiftly to make her way to an abandon shaft where some Natzi secretly set up head quarters. Diana had found out about their hide out during an earlier inspection on the run way with Steve as he checked out the new test plane. She found a Natzi spy was one of the mechanics, and followed him. “Soon the American’s new plain will be ours and their base destroyed.” One of the men stated with a diabolical laugh. “Not if I can help it!” Wonder Woman shouted from the entrance.
The group gasped in shock. “Get her!” The ring leader shout as he pointed to Wonder Woman. Four men rushed at her. Diana lifted the first man and tossed him to the side. She then grabbed the other by the arm, and spun around tossing him in the direction of the others. The ring leader tried to slip out, but not before firing a few rounds at her.
Wonder Woman blocked every bullet and ran and jumped over a piled of crates, reaching for her lasso at the same time. She then cast it onto the man and reeled him in. It was then Steve and the rest of his small army ran through the opening. “Wonder Woman!” They all said in surprise. Diana smiled. “Don’t worry. This is the only one left, and if I’m not mistaken you want to question him.”
“You know me too well Wonder Woman.” Steve stated as he walked up and began questioning the man. As they got all the answers they were able to shut down all their equipment and take them off to jail.
I know the sample sounds corny, but that’s how it was in the TV series. Season 1-3
