Powers And Abilities
Strengths:
Sorcery: The sorcery of Dormammu was once powerful enough to tamper with the spells of the Asgardian god Odin and defeat the Elder God Agamatto in battle. Due to being separated from the Dark Dimension, Dormammu's power has been... lessened. That isn't to say he doesn't command incredibly powerful magic, of course. With a mastery of the mystical arts, Dormammu is able to do a great many things with his magical powers, including...
- Energy Manipulation - By manipulating the energy around him, Dormammu can fires blasts of energy powerful enough to put a hole through steel. These blasts may take the form of beams or spheres of energy, depending on which Dormammu believes will be more effective.
- Elemental Magic - Fire is obviously his strong suit when it comes to elemental magic. Besides fire, he is able to conjure and use the other three elements: water, earth fire and air as much as he desires, usually in combat. It is very rare to see him using this for any other purpose than to create fire.
- Teleportation - Simple enough. Dormammu can teleport great distances. Before his power was depleted he was able to teleport across dimensions, though now it is just across the world he's trapped in.
- Flight - Dormammu was able to fly at speed faster than Doctor Strange, though he seems to prefer teleporting.
- Conjuring - Dormammu can conjure any object he desires from thin air, be it a weapon or a goblet. He could even conjure a full throne if he so desired. If he is observed using this skill it is usually to create a weapon to use in battle. He cannot summon enchanted weapons, though he can place enchantments on them.
- Shape-shifting - Dormammu can not only make himself look like someone else, but he can also change his own shape to be larger or smaller. Becoming gigantic is usually a last resort for him.
Flames of the Faltine: The flames that Dormammu is made of are actually a magical energy known as the Flames of the Faltine. Being constructed of this energy makes him completely immune to any physical attacks, unless done by an enchanted weapon. He can also manipulate these flames and use them as a weapon.
Combat: Although he was bested by martial arts master Doctor Strange in hand-to-hand combat, Dormammu has proved himself a powerful combatant when using his magic to make himself stronger. Trained in a fighting style only found in another dimension, Dormammu has learned to use this otherworldly style to confuse those who were unaware of it's existence.
Weaknesses:
Cut Off: Dormammu is cut off from the nigh-limitless amount of power he once held. His power has been brought down to a fraction of what it once was and because of that he is able to be defeated by those who use their magic wisely in battle against him.
Arrogance: If you haven't noticed, Dormammu is incredibly arrogant. This is actually one of his greatest weaknesses and has been one of the things Doctor Strange has manipulated to take down Dormammu. For instance, Dormammu could believe that his minions are all set in taking down his foe. So, he forgoes watching and simply waits for them to bring him the corpse. Instead, the hero arrived and catches Dormammu off guard.
Magic: Much like many other villains of his universe, his greatest strength also happens to be his greatest weakness. Those with magic great enough, such as Doctor Strange, will find themselves with the ability to take out Dormammu. The hard part is putting the magic to good enough use and being able to take him down with pure skill, like Doctor Strange has done in the past.
Enchanted Weapons: Weapons with a powerful enough enchantment will be able to do harm to, and maybe kill if the enchantment is strong enough, Dormammu. However, much like it is with magic one must be skilled enough with their weapon to defeat Dormammu.

Although he generally does not, Dormammu has the ability to conjure any weapon he chooses in battle.
Personal Information
Personality:
Dormammu is pretty much the definition of evil. Almost always scheming, Dormammu has done pretty much nothing other than horrible deeds that have earned him the title of Dread Lord. His cruelty to any being that crosses him knows no bounds and he's been known to kill or injure those who defy or insult him. Despite his temper, Dormammu can also be a cold, mocking individual. No matter how he's behaving, one thing remains the same: Dormammu will always boast about how superior he is to everyone. He's even boasted about being able to defeat beings such as the Living Tribunal and Galactus. It is not known if he speaks the truth.
Tormenting and mocking those lower than him is actually fun to Dormammu. Humans are his favorite targets simply because he finds them to be so weak. That doesn't mean other beings are spared, of course. Dormammu takes just as much delight in tormenting aliens as he does humans. It could be said that his delight in torture is a way of showing off his powers. He does love to show off, especially to those who lack powers similar to those he has. All-in-all, he's a maniacal being who delights in the pain and suffering of all beings he can administer it to.
But, Dormammu is honestly not fathomable to mere mortals. His motives and goals are simply so twisted that mortals cannot understand them. Even beings like Odin and the Asgardians have trouble truly understand just what Dormammu wants. Most people seem to be under the impression that he either wants to conquer or destroy everything, though nobody is sure for certain. Dormammu has claimed before to wanting to destroy or conquer the world, though he has often switched between the two, implying some larger goal...
History:
Dormammu's Marvel Database Wiki Page should suffice. In summary, Dormammu was created billions of years ago by the being known as Sinifer. He and his sister, Umar, destroyed Sinifer later on. The two then went on to try to conquer any universe they found and eventually discovered the Dark Dimension, which the ceased hold over. Dormammu's rule was cruel and he was hated by the people, though they were not powerful enough to overthrow him. After trying to conquer Earth, he was banished by the Ancient One, Earth's current Sorcerer Supreme. Dormammu would occasionally reach through the barrier and influence the actions of humans, which is the reason Jack the Ripper existed. Later, Dormammu accepted Baron Mordo, the Ancient One's student, as a disciple. Mordo would give Dormammu human sacrifices and eventually free him. Through the years Dormammu was freed from his banishment various times and formed a rivalry with Doctor Strange.
Once Dormammu arrived in the strange new world he had been pulled into and discovered that his powers had been weakened, he was outraged. Eventually he managed to calm himself and construct a castle nearby a volcano, where he now schemes to destroy whatever force brought him to this new realm. {the castle will be found in the Overworld c:}

"Silence, you pitiful creature!" Dormammu shouted, knocking his human slave to the ground with a blast of magical energy. "Do you think I care at all for your petty excuses?" Dormammu took that time to let out a loud, cruel laugh that resounded through his throne room. "I, the Dread Lord, listen to your pitiful pleas to spare you? You should have thought twice before attempting to worm your way out of your punishment. Now you shall face ten times the suffering you were condemned to. Away with you!" Dormammu snapped his fingers and teleported the man to the torture chamber.
It was a shame he had to employ humans to do the work once reserved for his demonic minions. Unfortunately, whatever deity had brought him to this dimension had not only taken his power but his minions as well. Now he was forced to enslave humans to do the work that was not worthy of his doing. At least they were cowardly and would do their best to not face the horrible torment that awaited them if they failed. It was the one thing about humans that made them good slaves for beings such as Dormammu. The Dread Lord stood up from his throne and walked calmly to a large window, which looked out on the rest of the world. He growled and turned around. If only there were some means of escape.
