Powers And Abilities
Strengths:
Physical: Leomon is very physically able, and a known master of various forms of combat due to the Data he was born with and the years he had spent on the Digital World. He is very skilled with a multitude of Bladed weapons, though he prefers to use his own weapon and his knowledge of martial arts to take down opponents as swiftly as possible. He isn't above killing someone but will attempt not to do so if he can help it.
Height: Thanks to the Game Master's influence, Leomon's height has been decreased from being nearly 9 feet, to 8'3.
Strength: Leomon is strong enough to easily lift a boulder - with a diameter greater than the length of his body-over his head with one hand. Quite possible to punch through steel, though it may take him a while.
Strong will and mind: Leomon's fighting will is very strong, and once a fire is lit under him it is not easily doused. Even if, for example, he is seriously injured, he will continue to advance on his enemy until he defeats it. It is difficult for Leomon to become heavily influenced and put under mind control/hypnosis, but it can be done if one is persistent enough.
Attacks/Digivolution: Like most Digimon, Leomon is able to use the attacks he was born with to his advantage. His only Known attack in the anime is the Fist of the Beast King, in which he launches a fiery aura/energy in the shape of a lion's head from his fist, and on some occasions he can launch multiples of this attack once with varying intesity. This aura can potentially burn an opponent, though the most it can do is knock an opponent back..and leave a pretty big, painful bruise as a result. Possible to break bones with it.
Digivolution: Unknown to Jeri and her friends, Leomon wasn't able to Digivolve until he somehow managed to end up here. While he hasn't yet mastered the secret of Digivolution and knowing how to control his new form, at times under extreme stress/torment he can Digivolve to SaberLeomon, an Ancient Animal Digimon whose name and design are derived from the Smilodon, or saber-toothed lion. Standing at 7'9 on all fours, SaberLeomon is able to use two attacks that are currently known: Infinity Arrow, an attack in which it hardens the fur on it's body in such a way that it resembles steel, and can either fire the hairs from afar or tackle the opponent with it. These hairs are able to inject a paralyzing substance when in contact with an opponent, which can leave a section of the body at the point of impact, an entire limb or even a whole person paralyzed. Oddly enough, while paralyzing the opponent, it does not paralyze the opponents nerves in any way.
Another attack it can use is Nail Crusher, in which it will rush forward and proceed to viciously maul it's opponent with it's claws.
Weaknesses:
Strength: While it is true that Leomon is strong, much more than a Human, he rarely exerts more force than necessary. He knows how fragile Humans can be, and only uses what's required if he's facing a Human opponent to take it down, though at times he tends to forget his own strength.
Emotional: It is rare that Leomon gets angry over something. Irritated, yes, but not downright angry. He manages to keep a cool head and calm exterior, however this calm exterior is more of a double-edged sword. While he can infuriate enemies with it, He does not like to reveal personal feelings and has difficulty in admitting things at times, hence his loner/calm persona.
Mortal: Oddly enough, once he ended up in the Game Master's world, he found that instead of being deleted he was made from flesh and blood, not just Data. He can be killed the same way a Human can, it'll just be more difficult.
Emotions: The care of everyone he befriends, and the instinct/desire to protect the innocent was something that has been ingrained in this Digimon's mind for a long time is possibly Leomon's greatest fault. He knows that, in the back of his mind, he won't be able to save everyone he meets and accepts that with quiet dignity, but if one of his best friends were to be killed he would never let himself live it down. His enemies can easily use the knowledge that if one of his friends/close companions were in their possession and threatened, he would race to their rescue in a heartbeat and do whatever he would be ordered to ensure their safety.
Weapons And Equipment:
Sword: The only thing Leomon carries with him on his person is the sword at his hip that he is very skilled with, known as the Shishiou-maru, lit. "Lion King". He keeps it honed to incredibly sharp levels, and can often be seen polishing or sharpening it when in deep thought. The belts on his hands can be removed and used in any way he sees fit.
Personal Information
Personality:
In layman's terms, Leomon is more of a Gentle Giant, kind and caring with a tough, rough battle-hardened exterior. Courageous, noble and a firm believer that every living being has their own destiny to live out. He cares deeply for those he befriends, even though he looks like he's about to beat the tar out of you the second you piss him off, and puts effort in to helping them as much as possible. Leomon is also wise, ready to give advice or offer encouraging, or even downright insulting words depending on the situation. Very knowledgeable about the Digital World, and has a really good memory. While preferring to remain on his own, he is not above going to heed a call for help wherever and whomever it may be, and Yggdrasil help you if you harm someone he cares for...especially any of the Digidestined/Children he may or may not know.
Leomon believes that all things happen for a reason, and that perhaps a person's fate is determined not only by his actions but by their willpower. None-the-less, it is...difficult for him to forgive someone of a crime if the criminal has harmed/turns out to be someone he knows on a personal level. Once you manage to earn his trust and respect, you have a friend and a battle companion for life. Break his trust in you and he breaks your face.
After his encounter with Jeri, Leomon's rough exterior and lonely side fades somewhat and his heart opens. Can charge in to battle at the drop of a hat, without regard for his own life at times. He is sensitive to people's feelings and can be attentive on an individual basis, if a bit on the quiet side. To make things well, he treats people gently or, occasionally, severely. Being warm-hearted by nature, he cannot stand by and see innocent people suffer or grieve when he knows he could do something about it, and when faced with death he takes it in a stoic, calm manner in front of others before he leaves to do his own version of grieving, unwilling to let others see his true feelings...He trains in a vacant spot and lets his energy out on the nearest, immovable object he can find by hitting it as hard as possible.
While preferring to be alone, Leomon has come to terms with Humans, and accepts them as creatures of interest, and will lend a helping hand to any who come his way.
History:
Leomon is the Digimon partner of Jeri Katou, a young Human girl. Before Bio-Emerging to the Real World, Leomon only knew of endless conflict. At first, he was a bit frightened by Jeri's affection and insistence that he's her partner. But he grew to care for her, becoming Jeri's partner for real after his near-death experience with Makuramon.
Despite Jeri's doubts of being worthy enough to be his Tamer, Leomon had much confidence in her. He once commented that she was such a little thing but she had a lion's heart, although this line is a dub exclusive. During the trip into the Digial World, Leomon did his best to protect his friends from the various threats they encountered there and brought an end to Orochimon's tyranny thanks to Jeri using a LadyDevimon Modify Card to give him the power to use her Darkness Wave attack.
But things went downhill during the fierce battle with Beelzemon, as Leomon seized his arm to stop him from killing Kyubimon. Leomon informed the ranting Beelzemon that to simply have power did not make him strong – but Beelzemon retaliated by impaling Leomon through the chest with his claws. It was here that Leomon had supposedly died and with the aftermath being Jeri's depression that made her an ideal subject for the D-Reaper's research. His last words to Jeri were that "a part of me will always be with you, remember you have a lion's heart." (In the Japanese version he simply made a remark about fate, something he speaks of frequently in this version of the show...)
However, not all of his Data was downloaded by Beezlemon after his death. Somehow a small shred of it managed to make it's way back in to the vast Digital World, and the Game Master had possibly seized that Data and reconfigured it, then dumped the 'ressurected' Leomon in to his odd jigsaw puzzle of a world. Bruised, beaten and more than confused, Leomon at first faced the new world with a sense of anger, anger at whomever brought him back and leaving Jeri and the others behind. However after realizing that this was, in fact not the same world he had died in, he seized the shot of living again and came to terms with this odd plethora of individuals, with the small hope of somehow seeing Jeri end up here too.

The Humans were to come first. That was his priority. The frightened beings, an Adult female and a younger one gathered in his arms, pinned to his body with a gentle yet firm hand while another was occupied with the hilt of his sword were all he found that he could think of, their safety. A low growl seemed to rumble throughout the burning medical wing when it reality it came from Leomon himself, wood, tile and other foundation cracking under his feet as he ran down the nearest hallway. The scent of smoke, the crackle of fire, exploding canisters in adjoining rooms and the screams of patients unable to escape from the blaze, it was all hazy and 'in the background' in his mind as he turned a sharp corner, dipping his body low at the waist to keep himself from crashing in to a wall as he came to a fork in the hall, stopped only for a few seconds to take whatever breath of harsh, smoke filled air he could before heading for the left.
The Fire had started only an hour ago on the seventh floor when there were originally eleven, and yet it already seemed as though it would reach the lowest level there was. With all of the chemicals around, he honestly wasn't too surprised that it spread so fast. Leomon grit his teeth, lungs beginning to burn and sweat staining his fur as he came to a dead end, the rest of the hall blocked with the inferno of debris from the 'ceiling', and the heat made him take a involuntary step back. His vision was getting hazy and it was getting harder to breathe, the Digimon resorting to panting now. The older female let out a shriek and Leomon narrowed his eyes to look down at her before he moved back down the hall, blinking back involuntary tears and willing away the pain brought from various burns, cuts and scrapes across his body.
"My Baby, she isn't breathing!"
Leomon kept his voice as gentle as he could muster, picking up his pace with a grunt of effort as the ceiling overhead started to give off a dull rumble, signaling him that the 'roof' was about to collapse. "Don't worry, she'll..she'll be fine. Hold on tight.." he soothed, sheathing his weapon before bringing his now free fist back after having a coughing fit. There wasn't any time to dodge to the right of the hall, the floor was beginning to shake and there was a wall coming up fast. There was only one option he had left...
"Fist of the Beast King!"
If one was standing outside of the burning Hospital now, safely surrounded by the appropriate fire personnel and other emergency services who tried hard to rescue all they could from the building before evacuating as soon as they heard that the place was going to come down, one could see the outer wall on the seventh floor burst outward and apart, with a odd figure jumping out of the black, oily smoke and heading straight for the ground. The figure tried hard to soften his fall by landing on what he could, crashing through it with all of the force of a bowling ball dropped from that very height before it hit the ground, cracking the cement a little, with the building collapsing soon after. Immediatley people began to panic, some Police even turning and pointing their weapons at the figure before the other Officials tried to calm the crowd down, even though they were just as afraid.
Leomon's heartbeat was loud in his ears and the impact from the fall sent lances of pain up his legs, though he tried to ignore them.
The adrenaline in his body helped with the pain, and his lungs and throat burned harshly as he sucked in air. With gritted teeth he stepped forward to the personnel until he was right in the middle of the clearing they had made to keep people from going in to the fire, holding up a free hand, a silent bid for them not to shoot. As he knelt down gently and lowered the two female Humans, both unconscious now, on the ground and even as whatever Health personnel they had rushed over to them and took them away in their vehicles, he locked his hazy, blurry vision with the apparent leader of their Task force and refused to avert his gaze, finding that his body wouldn't let him get back up, and as such he shifted his position to where he was on his knees.
The police chief gulped, steadily watching Leomon before giving the signal for the rest of his force to lower their weapons. Cautiously he retrieved the standard issue megaphone from his car, clicking the button. He saw Leomon visibly wince at the noise it made before he started to speak.
"What are you?"
Leomon let a gruff grunt escape him, out of annoyance.
"Are they," a harsh series of coughs racked his body, leaving him unable to continue until a good minute had passed. He hadn't noticed some firemen rush by him to put out the rest of the fire with a hose. "..are they safe?" He croaked, weakly gesturing to the direction in which the others took the two he had rescued earlier.
"Answer my-"
"Are they s-safe or not?!" Leomon roared, trailing off with a growl and a snap of his sharp teeth, then another coughing fit. His roar echoed. He felt bad for showing such anger, and he had managed to see that the Humans had moved backwards out of fear and shock, but he could already see that his vision was growing dark. His body was giving up on him. He wasn't going to die, more like slip in to unconsciousness. Didn't feel like answering any mundane questions, he just needed to know..
"Y..." The Officer paused, ordering a status report on the two people that were rescued. The older, a woman in her late 20's was now stabilized, but the younger, child of about seven years of age and currently there recovering from some type of surgery..."...Yes. Yes, they're safe..Both of them.."
