♈ POWERS AND ABILITIES ♈
Strengths:
Tyke is a Water-Type Pokemon known as a Totodile. And as such, primarily he can inflict super-effective (X 2) damage upon Fire, Rock and Ground types. His pure water typing also allows for him to take minimal (X 0.5) damage from Water types, Fire, Ice and Steel type attacks. Various other types have a neutral effect upon him.
Ability: Torrent - Once stamina drops below 1/3, the power of water moves is increased one stage. (X 1.5)
- Ice Fang:
Tyke bites at a target with jaws shrouded in a freezing cold power. There is a chance of Freezing or Flinching in the target once struck. Inflicts Ice damage. - Steel Claw:
Claws similar in properties to metal are used to strike at the foe. Possibly increasing Tyke's attack power in the process. Inflicts Steel damage. - Aqua Tail:
Tyke swings his tail with a power reminiscent of the crashing waves in the oceans. Inflicts Water damage. - Ancient Power:
The user attacks the foe with a power from prehistoric times. Hurtling rocks of varying shapes and sizes towards the target(s). All stats have a possibility of being increased by one stage (X 1.5). Inflicts Rock damage.
Weaknesses:
Electric-typed attacks are super effective against Tyke and so deal double damage.
Grass-typed attacks are super effective against Tyke and so deal double damage.
Generally being a pre-evolved Pokemon, Tyke cannot take too much damage in a fight before fainting.
Blunt damage-inflicting weapons such as clubs, hammers and pole's work best against Tyke.
Tyke isn't very well suited to ranged fights in the least.
Sealing Tyke's movements can render him almost helpless.

♈ PERSONAL INFORMATION ♈
Personality:
Tyke is a baby Pokemon. As such, compared to his parents, he is drastically different in all respects. His playful nature is a primary factor which influences all his decisions, his actions and even his choice of words. Its because of this that he seems to be obsessed with playing and will more often then not take an immediate threat and view it as a chance to have some fun.
Despite how naive he can be most of the time, he is capable of recognizing danger or ill intent. Though in these instances, he is quick to react and alert with his instincts. Though he may be young, its clear he has got quite an impressive reaction speed and battle sense from playing around so much.
Tyke is also considerably intelligent for an Pokemon. Especially for one that is still very much a baby. He is able to understand human speech and respond in a way that humans can understand. Even though that in itself isn't quite clear. He is also known to be without fear as he has no trouble approaching other beings (no matter what they may be) and is very much friendly to other Pokemon.
Of course, given how young he is, its no surprise that a curious trait has made itself known. Given that there are some things that he hasn't seen and will generally be unknown to him. He is prone to getting himself in trouble and tough situations through no direct fault of his own, but for the most part, luck seems to be on his side.

History:
Tyke was born to his mother and father in the Johto region through a process known as "Selective Breeding". Orchestrated by his original trainer, Dilan Price. An aspiring young trainer with a total of six badges and big League goals.
Within the Johto region, breeding quickly became a popular and effective way of acquiring specific Pokemon with specific skills into ones Pokemon team. And so, this was a process Dilan simply couldn't pass up. Dilan wasn't a cruel trainer in any sense of the word; but he did have high expectations of his Pokemon. And the final edition to his so-called "champion team" had to be a Totodile.
And so he started the process by placing the first Totodile he'd received from his father in the daycare center in the hopes of getting a very special addition to his team. This so happened to be Tyke's mother. Many days of waiting and failures between Tyke's parents allowed for Tyke to be birthed into an incredibly big family.
Unfortunately for him, he would never get to know that fact because Dilan released every single "failure" that was born. Though of course, these were just Totodile that were not born with certain moves, or perfect stats. None of them were given a decent chance to prove themselves.
That is, until Tyke was born.
Tyke was immediately taken in and tested like the rest of his siblings before him were. And he'd pretty much passed every test with flying colors. He was the pokemon who was crafted in the image Dilan had wanted. And so, Tyke was taken into the team, went travelling as was intended. However, after an incident with another trainer with Tyke merely being the playful spectator, Dilan finally discovered Tyke's true nature. The one thing he couldn't stand in his prized pokemon. A Naughty nature.
Tyke was discarded just as the rest of his siblings were.
Traversing the oceans of the world a few miles a day out of necessity, surviving on nothing but the odd bug Pokemon or water Pokemon, Tyke was capable of taking down. The Totodile eventually managed to reach land... But where he was, it didn't look like there were very many Pokemon...
Perhaps finding his mother, his father and Dilan wouldn't be possible...

♈ SAMPLE POST ♈
------------------------------
It was pretty late into the evening that had the beach shrouded in the cool, crisp night air. The moon was full and took up a large section of the sky off to the east while casting luminous beams of moonlight across the sand and shores. Clouds few merely far-off wisps of gas in the distance, carried solely by the wind. There was a single fiery light that was set upon the beach, with a tent placed just a short distance away. The night was still and devoid of much disturbance. Save for...
A tiny tail bobbed up out of the ocean followed by a small head and body. The creature it belonged to blinked in an odd way before scanning the area. It could tell there was nothing of interest save for the flaming red light set on land. Tyke waggled is little tail then kicked at his hind legs, wading himself slowly through the water towards this light that was warm and drew him in. It wasn't very long when his paws touched upon land the cool night air danced over his scales.
The little Pokemon opened his jaws wide, testing the pressure in the air as opposed to what he was used to in the water. Only to find that there was none. He blinked and then looked to the light, making his way even closer to it. Though the sheer amount of heat he was feeling prevented him from getting too close, he was able to stare at it for a short while before then looking to the billowing material of the tent a little way off.
Such new experiences... they were new to the creature... they were inviting. It was almost like something were calling to him and wanted him here. Wanted him to experience all of these new sensations as much as possible first-hand. With a final wag of his tail, the little Arachni'Dile trotted into the tent and merely listened as the humans conversed once again.
This was all familiar to him. Indeed, this was the fourth night in a row this had happened. And so, opening his jaws again, the creature managed to speak. "Totodile!"
At once the humans in the tent turned to look at him and burst out laughing. Indeed, they were used to the sight of the creature coming into their tent late into the night and were getting used to the fact that he was easy to understand.
Snapping his jaws at them out of impatience, one human chuckled before reaching over to pick him up and move them onto their lap. Feeding him some leftover meat as they continued on with their chat.
Nevermind that the little Pokemon was soaking their clothes in seawater...
