Powers And Abilities
Strengths:
Race: The krogan evolved in a lethal ecology. Over millions of years, the grim struggle to survive larger predators, virulent disease, and resource scarcity on their homeworld, Tuchanka, turned the lizards into quintessential survivors. Perhaps the most telling indicator of Tuchanka's lethality is the krogan eyes. Although they are a predators species by any standard definition, their eyes evolved to be wide-set, as any Earth prey species like deer and cattle. Krogan eyes have a 240-degree arc of vision, better suited for spotting enemies sneaking up on them than for pursuit.[/i]: Until the invention of gunpowder weapons, "eaten by predators" was still the number one cause of krogan fatalities. Afterwards, it was "death by gunshot". Xytus was taught how to shoot at 9 years of age, so he's very skilled in the marksmanship department.
Krogans have a naturally tough hide, with rock-hard plating. While they feel pain, it does not affect their ability to concentrate. They have multiple functioning examples of all major organs, and can often survive the loss of one or two of any type. Rather than a nervous system, they have an electrically conductive second circulatory system, which makes them nearly impossible to paralyze -except with extremely high voltages-. Capable of cellular regeneration unseen in most races, (perhaps explaining their longevity, though they must also counter genetic aging). Krogan are able to live for well over a Thousand years, as seen with Warlord Okeer in the game.
Their large shoulder humps store fluids and nutrients, enabling them to survive extended periods without food or water. A bigger shoulder hump is seen as a sign of high status, showing how successful an individual krogan is at hunting. Highly resistant to environmental hazards, including toxins, radiation, and extreme heat and cold. Consequently their diets can include food and drink which would prove very dangerous to other species—a fact reflected in the krogan liquor of choice, ryncol, which is said to "hit aliens like ground glass".
Armor: While Xytus’ hard, rock-like plates give him enough protection and prevent him from receiving a massive headache whenever he headbutts something, his Armor provides bonus protection. His armor has a variety of capabilities:
- Kinetic Buffer: An incredibly intricate weave of various, electronic fibers inside the armor melds with his skin upon contact, and Metabolic Enhancers inside the fibers monitor the wearer's vital systems and release genetically engineered stimulants to maximize combat prowess and athletic ability for a short time (Time depends on thread, does not last for more than fifteen seconds)
-Shield: Kinetic barriers are repulsive mass effect fields projected from tiny emitters built in to his armor. These shields safely deflect small objects traveling at rapid velocities when activated (The air around the wearer seems to crackle with an electrical sort of energy for a brief moment, that's how you can tell if a shield has been brought up or not). This affords protection from some bullets and other dangerous projectiles, but still allows the user to sit down without knocking away their chair. The shielding afforded by kinetic barriers does not protect against extremes of temperature, toxins, or radiation.
Mind: While Krogans can be considered somewhat dumb due to their nature and past, there are many who manage to bypass this stereotype. Xytus is more battle-savvy but can use his mind just as equally as his weapons, able to memorize people by being attentive to the smaller things most seem to let go un-noticed. He has a vast mind, and even enjoys some of the older Human novels and books. He memorized a –lot- of knowledge about Krogan history, and even the History of other species, some even considered to be long extinct. Enjoys latin and various other languages, and can be seen either cursing in another language or randomly muttering otherlingual phrases under his breath, even during battle.

Weaknesses:
Mortal: Despite his species and their various evolutionary advances, he –can- be killed, if he’s shot/stabbed at he’ll bleed, still needs oxygen to breath, ect. It’ll just be difficult for the one attempting to kill him due to his thick hide and healing prowess.[/i]: Xytus’ Armor is a Medium Partisan/Skirmish set, created by Batarian State Arms. While it has a high shield rating (the kinetic barriers last longer), it’s Tech and Biotic protection is low, enabling the armor to easily be hacked in to if someone is good enough or if the armor gets soaked long enough in water. Once hacked/doused, the Armor’s electronic parts will shut down automatically (Including the kinetic barrier generators) leaving Xytus wearing just a hunk of normal armor. He can repair the damage, but it takes a few days, leaving him open to attack. It is also possible to injure him if one aims for the fabric in a few spaces between the metal plates on his armor.
Humans: Xytus, while understanding much of their primitive technology, has trouble taking Humans seriously due to the fact that while he was around them a lot, he didn’t really converse or get to know any. He considers them a flighty bunch, scrawny, squishy and a short-lived species, most of their population not even combat trained in his eyes, though there may be a few exceptions. They also, to Xytus, have an unsettling tendency to show their teeth as an expression of happiness, a habit that He doesn’t doubt had cost a few of them their lives when dealing with the more backwater krogan in his world. To natives of Tuchanka's unforgiving food chain, showing your teeth categorically says 'I'm going to eat you'. Depending on the circumstances, It may be either humorous or deadly when he comes face to face with one.
Also, he doesn’t exactly hate humans. He just finds them ‘too squishy to live’ and odd at times, and holds little respect for them. However, he will come to ones aid if he likes/respects them enough.
Territorial instinct: Krogan have powerful territorial instincts which serve them well in combat, but can create problems; when traveling on starships, for example, krogan find sharing quarters nearly impossible. The same can be said for Xytus and anything he owns. He also doesn’t like it when his personal space, i.e touching without his consent, is invaded either.
Speed: Xytus is more about bulk and brute force than speed, and while he can certainly run the average speed of a Krogan and cover a bit of distance quickly when he has to, If someone can outrun him, chances are he can be easily taken by surprise.
Armor
Needles: High Trypanophobia. Even hearing about needles tends to freak him out. Good for a good laugh or two, but he doesn't think jokes with needles are very funny.
Dominance: While this may be mostly a species thing, Xytus has a tendency to head-butt people/enemies to assert his dominance over them, which may be a problem.
Front plate: If one lodges a knife at a certain spot near the frontal plate on a krogan's head, the plate can be ripped off. It is apparently the one thing krogan do fear, Xytus included, and threats to removing his frontal plate are not taken lightly, even if as a joke.
Weaker areas[/i]: Despite a Krogan’s skin being very thick, there are a few weaker parts. If facing Xytus head on, a good smack to any spot below the eyes or the unarmored hollow of the neck is enough to make him back off, much in a similar manner to a shark, and much to Xytus’ annoyance. A good punch won’t hurt him much, but he’ll be able to feel it.

Personal Information
Personality:
The harsh krogan homeworld conditioned the krogan psychology for toughness just as it did the body. Xytus has always had a tendency to be selfish, unsympathetic, and blunt much like his species, even unpredictable at times. Has a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to others or making quick decisions. Mildly rascist to others simply because of his upbringing (Aliens aren’t wildly accepted on Tuchanka). He respects strength and self-reliance and is neither surprised nor offended by treachery. Has a great deal of pride in his own abilities and accomplishments. While Xytus may have the general attitude of an irritable, Prideful, hulking Bounty hunter that could crush your skull like a dry twig if you look at him wrong, he has learned a few things over the last few years.
For one thing, while still considered somewhat young maturity wise, Xytus is very patient, perhaps even endlessly so, despite more often than not charging headfirst in to battle mostly because ‘it’s more fun that way’. He enjoys a good fight/bar brawl and at times will even start one if he feels like he can get away with it, though he refrains from killing others at them. He doesn’t hesitate to headbutt someone of an organization or not if he must, and at times he would suggest that if he eats the enemy (An empty threat mostly) then maybe that’ll solve the problem. Has his moments of kindness.
Xytus possesses a lot of common sense, is often brutally honest and pessimistic about other views besides his own people yet stands up for what he believes is right. Has a somewhat violent attitude and a downright snarker on occasion. Xytus can hunt, he can protect you, he's not afraid of anything or intimidated very easily, which makes him an asset to any group he's in, but having people in the group tell him he's valuable and he's worth more than he thinks he is is hard for him to accept. Pragmatic. Tends to appear enthusiastic about violence and combat. And while it is rare for him to make friends due to his species and the way he was raised, he does value anyone whom he considers an ‘ally’ and will rush to their rescue or defense, though he believes that the reason for this is simply 'out of common courtesy', though it tends to go much deeper for him. When it comes to affection from others, Xytus tends to be incredibly awkward due to his inexperience with such a thing.
While he believes that getting a few more credits for his pay is nice, he isn’t one for luxury very much, instead he prefers weapons as payment, preferring to go with 'the highest bidder' whenever given consideration for a Job. He doesn't care for what side the ones hiring him are on, all that matters to him is not dying, getting paid in full afterward (He hates it when he gets skimped out) and that his clients don't try to double cross him.
He has a soft spot for those younger than himself aka children, no matter what Race, and can tell whether one is an adult or not by smell (He insists that as one ages, their scent changes and ‘matures’, much like wine). Though it may be more out of instinct than anything else, he will be less brash and honest with those younger than himself, treats them with considerable kindness and doesn't sugarcoat details, Ex: He won’t lie to a child, if it’s parents perished in, say, a fire, then offers his equivalent of comfort; A quick inspirational quote and teaching them how to shoot afterward, if it's a companion of his that is old enough to drink, he offers a bit of shooting practice and a beer afterward. In short, Xytus is a battlehardened Jerk with a heart of gold.
