Not his favourite place, he had to admit. Bars weren't the preferred location for the doctor. He wasn't a fan of drinking. Yes, he used to drink in social events; but that was pretty much all. Since the incident which brought a second guy in him, he wasn't living a normal life. Thus, drinking was long forgotten. While alcohol was a type of sedative, Banner didn't want to rely on such things. He needed to hold his own control. His father was used to be an alcoholic, making his childhood a nightmare. But he better didn't think about such things now. It only made him angrier and he didn't want to go there. Not in a place full of people which was located underground. Results might be bad.
He wasn't alone, though. A certain god of thunder was here with him, downing on his third drink in the most thirsty way. He didn't look effected by the alcohol at all. He must have had some fast working metabolism. The amount of food they ordered was too much for two people at first. Or it seemed that way. But Thor's appetite was impressive. How could one eat so much and stay in shape like this? It had to be an Asgardian trait, Banner guessed.
"Just water. Thanks." Offering a nice smile at the waiter, Banner picked his glasses from his face and folded them before placing it down on the table. The waiter refilled Thor's glass mug and then collected empty plates to open more space.
It wasn't often Banner hung out with others. He was more of a loner, preferring things that way. Being social was too much for him anyway. With his condition, he wanted to crawl into his shell all the more. Thor certainly wasn't the closest person to him neither. Not only they belonged to different worlds, Banner's words could be alien to Thor in a great deal. Not everyone appreciated science, but Banner supposed he couldn't blame them. Not everything was for everyone.
The idea came out by random, but in the end here they were; sitting in a bar table. Eating and drinking... Talking. They didn't have any common interests, but that didn't matter. Conversation wasn't always needed. Banner could do well with silence. Their mouths seemed to be busy with food and drinks anyway.
"May I?" Banner asked politely and pointed at a plate of fried chicken and some vegetables. Then he pulled it closer to him to eat easier. His water had arrived aswell. Unlike Thor, he was eating slowly. Carefully. There was no need to rush.
Thankfully the music wasn't too loud. The place was almost full, but people were minding their own business. It was good. Things were better this way. After swallowing what he was chewing for a while, Banner reached for a napkin. "Is... Is that true that I -him hurt you back then?" Indeed, he was asking for what happened while they were battling Loki. Hulk's memories were nothing but a big blur to him. Banner never truly remembered what he had done. He wasn't in control as the green guy. And this other one had issues with separating right from wrong.
He looked a bit worried with his question, also tired... He always seemed tired. Controlling his alter ego was energy consuming. If that claim was true, then Banner wasn't sure what to do. Hurting the people he was supposed to be in the same team... It wasn't right.
