The day was pleasantly warm, but with a soft breeze that felt just right. Not a single cloud peppered the sky, and the master airbender felt a soft smile on his lips for a moment as he looked out over the bay towards Republic City. For a moment, nothing could break the serene and beautiful moment, and he closed his eyes for a moment to enjoy the feel of the wind on his face, coiling about him, allowing him to read into every one of it's gentle movements. Days like today really were the best.
He had figured that, because of the ideal weather conditions, it would be a perfect time to step up Korra's training. Tenzin had spoken to her that morning, before she'd dashed out with some excuse or another, telling her to be back by the afternoon for training. However, as usual her fly away personality had left her late.
Tenzin opened his eyes from where he looked out at the bay, and sighed, thoughtfully stroking his beard for a moment before turning and walking towards the training grounds. His cloaked robes floated out behind him dramatically as he moved, still unable to help himself in enjoying the feel of the breeze. Korra always tried his patience. She always did. He supposed she would not be her if she didn't. But Tenzin was happy to give her a touch of freedom as she had defeated Amon and saved a great many people from having their bending taken from them. He could see the need for celebrations and rewards for her, just for a short while.
But then again, she needed to learn to master her airbending, and he was the only one that could teach her.
Tenzin made his way to the small porch he used for meditation after a while and sat here, crossing his legs and closing his eyes. He had not seen his children or Pema for several hours either, and the quiet was quite pleasant. He took a deep and calming breath, deciding to make the most of his time, though he was itching to train Korra... Where was she? He sighed again, a little heavier, unable to focus. Hopefully she'd show up sooner rather then later... At least he wouldn't have to try and get to meditate any more. At least they were onto more practical things.
Although he was confident in his mastery, she had as much potential as the Avatar. He wondered if he should let her release her energies by trying to spar with him with airbending. Her energetic personality did not do well with the calmer aspects of airbending, as shown by her destroying the wind gates in frustration. He wondered how long it would take her to get frustrated with his own defensive airbending. A small smile filtered onto his lips. He supposed he'd find out... if she ever turned up.
