The sun was high over the city of Rome. It was a nice change from the norm, as the days of late had been cold and wet due to the autumnal months. Though clear, the sky was not a bright blue, and the air was a touch crisp. People wove through the streets below, going about their daily tasks, all too aware that they might not get a chance to dodge the rain again like this for a while.
Somewhere high above them, Ezio leapt and came down upon a rooftop guard.
Even with the current problem of vampires in the city, spreading from that strange 'other' version of Rome, the watch had insisted to continue watching for the brotherhood on tiled rooftops. Why, was beyond Ezio. Surely their efforts would be bettr directed quelling the immortal threat? He had no idea.
But the master assassin was out with a purpose today and the guardsman had simply dared to draw his bow on the assassin. Ezio pulled the hidden blade free of it's victim, cleaning the blood from the blade with a deft flick of his wrist. "Requiescat in pace." Ezio murmered in latin before turning his brown eyes east. Somewhere overhead an eagle cried.
Someone had asked to meet him, and it had been through a series of other messengers he had been reached. How irritating. Ezio had no idea of who he was meeting, only where, and as such he once more picked up the pace, dropping down onto the next roof and across a ledge before seeing the small, secluded courtyard ahead, marked by the gap in the rooftops.
Silently he dropped down ffrom the terracotta tiles and into the courtyard. It was deserted. As such, he took a few steps back until his own shoudlerblades rested against a wall and he coul lean. Glancing up, the sun certainley indicated noon, so where was the one he was going to meet?
A prickle of apprehension made itself known down his spine and he folded his arms after a moment, his hood drawn low over his eyes. Whoever it was was either watching him, or late. Either did not sit well with the assassin. He hummed softly in impatience after a second, shifted his weight and resumed his waiting for the one he was meant to talk to...
