The lake waters were calm this morning, the gentle breeze just rippling the surface. The sun was rising, and the brightening skies were streaked with reds and oranges. There were a few clouds, masking the soft glint of stars that would soon vanish.
A shadow passed over the lake once, then again, as the broad wingspan of the dragon passed over in a circle. Slowly, he drifted down in a spiral, the warm air currents giving him enough lift to fly elegantly and make little noise. As he got lower, the draft from his powerful wingbeats made the water ripple, until he came to land on the shores of the lake, near a few buildings and a dock for fishing.
Paarthurnax turned his head to look towards the sun for a moment, blinkin slowly in the light, before dipping his massive head to the water to drink, and doing so with great gusto before he pulled back.
However, he soon realised that he had alighted incredibly close to some dwellings, and though it was early, a nagging worry that they would not take kindly to his massive, dragonic body took hold. "Joor geinmaar lo." He spoke the Thu'um slowly and soon the scales and horns were giving way to a much smaller elf-form clad in heavy plate armour. The illusion magic of his words were truely remarkable and he shrunk in size until he was perhaps just a little tall for an elf, his brown hair streaked with grey and white.
Turning, he noticed another creature, another in a similar form as he though less armoured, and Paarthurnax felt it only fair to speak. "Drem yol lok, greetings, stranger." He said slowly, his tones slow and deep, though a touch dry with age. "I apoligise for disturbing hin tiid, your time.." He approached the other slowly, figuring he should be a little cautious..
